About our school

Principal's message

The Casula Public School community aims to provide challenging and relevant opportunities for all individuals to develop their potential within a caring, supportive and co-operative learning environment.

Casula Public School is an excellent public school enrolling children from Kindergarten to Year 6.  We are large enough to provide a comprehensive range of quality educational programs and small enough to cater for the needs of individual students, maintaining a harmonious and caring atmosphere.

Your child will receive a great deal of attention from a competent, sensitive staff who work together with the parent community to provide a happy, friendly learning environment.

Our aim is for every family to have an enjoyable and rewarding association with the school. We welcome and encourage parents to take an active interest in each child's educational and social progress. We value you as a most important part of the team that strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children.

Our school website provides a glimpse of the Casula Public School spirit. I hope you enjoy browsing through it and seeing the wonderful learning that happens at Casula.

As a school community we value:

  • education
  • a warm supportive learning environment which encourages sharing and promotes self esteem and confidence in children
  • co-operation, enthusiasm and mutual respect
  • parents and the wider community as a source of knowledge and expertise
  • a process of consultation when making decisions.

We believe that:

  • a variety of teaching strategies should be used in the classroom to cater for a variety of learning styles
  • the skills and attitudes needed for independent work as well as for group work should be developed in children
  • positive reinforcement and encouragement develops self-confidence and a love of learning
  • children should be encouraged to value education
  • fair discipline is necessary
  • children should be taught strategies for overcoming behavioural problems
  • parents should feel welcome at this school and be encouraged to assist in the classroom
  • parents should be kept well informed
  • classrooms should be stimulating, warm, happy and comfortable
  • children should take pride in themselves, their school, their efforts and their achievements
  • our students are the best ambassadors of our school.

The Casula Public School community aims to provide challenging and relevant opportunities for all individuals to develop their potential within a caring, supportive and co-operative learning environment.

Students enjoy their learning. They work co-operatively together and with their teachers in a structured environment. Parents/caregivers, students and the teacher share the expectation that all students will progress in their learning. Students achieve personal excellence and demonstrate pride in their achievements. This success is recognised in a formal way, shared and valued. At Casula Public School there is a strong supportive relationship between home, school and the community.
