Year 3
There are currently six Key Learning Areas which your children will be participating in:
English:– Literacy sessions consist of Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing.
Mathematics:- Mathematics consists of three different strands. They are Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry and Statistics and Probability.
Other Key Learning Areas
History, Geography, Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA), Science and Technology and Physical Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) make up the others Key Learning Areas. Topics studied over the course of the year include;
- Science: Living World
- PE: Fundamental Movement Skills
- Health : Active Lifestyles
- History: Community and Remembrance
- Geography: taught in Semester 2
During the year, students may have opportunities to go on excursions related to the topics been taught.
